Definition: Run mode connects the application to the ECM.
How to: activate Run Mode:
| • | Click on Communication (located in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen) |
| • | Click on Run |
| • | If it is desired to turn Run mode off, repeat the above procedure to turn it off |
Note: You MUST be in Run Mode to take data. If run mode is off, the application will not make any attempt to communicate with the controller. Editing calibrations, data playback, and setting up dashboards and charts is still possible even when not in Run Mode
Note: When run mode is activated, the "design mode" key 
will not have an outline and there will be NO grid lines in the workspace.
Activate Run Mode when:
You want to calibrate, chart, take data, or activate a dashboard.
Note: Make sure you select the proper data message
