Definition: Application Settings allow InGenius v3.0 to properly communicate with attached ECM hardware.
Configuring the Application Settings is a 3 Step Process:
Step 1: Open Application Settings Window
How to Open Application Settings
| • | Click Options from the menu bar (located in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen) |
| • | Click on Settings |
| • | Click the Application tab |
Step 2: Designate communication port
Definition: Select what communications port the controller is connected to. (COM1, COM2, COMx…)
Note: Once the communication COM port is set, it will remain defaulted to this setting.
Note: It may not be obvious what port a USB cable is setup for. Most of the time, it will be the last port in the list.
Step 3: Designate Auto Start Communication
Definition: The auto-start communication feature, when selected, allows the controller to automatically toggle Run mode when the application is started.
