Alarm Options

definition2 Definition:  The gauge alarm offers a variety of options to help inform users that an alarm event has occurred:

 

note2   Note:  It is possible to enable all 4 of the alarm options for a single alarm event.

 

 

Start Logging

 

definition2 Definition:  The Start Logging option will instruct the software to begin recording data in a previously opened log file as soon as the alarm event occurs. Data logging will continue until stop logging option is selected.

 

note2   Note:  You must open a log file before using the "Start Logging" alarm feature.

 

 

Mark Gauge

 

definition2 Definition:  The Mark Gauge option will highlight the entire gauge in red as soon as the alarm event occurs. When the alarm goes off the gauge returns to normal.

 

 

 

Show Pop up

 

definition2 Definition:  The Show Pop up option will instruct the software to pop up a warning message as soon as the alarm event occurs. The pop up window will not be closed until user acknowledges the alarm event by clicking "Close".

 

 

Beep

 

definition2 Definition:  The Beep option will instruct the software send an audible alert (similar to alarm clock) as soon as the alarm event occurs.

 

note2   Note:  Your computer must be equipped with a sound card and speakers to use the Beep Alarm Function.
